Technical Trainer (m/f/d) - Oregon

This position is responsible for providing Level 1 – 3 equipment and module training to employees and customers. The implementation of maintenance training courses, in accordance with EVG standards, on customer equipment. Close cooperation in the development and documentation of new training-relevant topics with the EVG Academy team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each of the primary duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  1. Train internal and external customers on EVG equipment
  2. Technical support of local training equipment
  3. Planning and preparation of technical courses for internal and external customers
  4. Manage and track course completion and customer feedback on training using our learn management system.
  5. Development of Training content based on the local issues and challenges.
  6. Coordinate changes/modifications of the training content with our Documentation team and assist with new procedures.
  7. Keep track of all FSE trainings and set up module training for new FSEs accordingly.
  8. Evaluate onsite knowledge of FSEs and provide plan for additional training if needed.
  9. Able to perform tasks and job functions with limited supervision; mentors and provides technical assistance and training to onsite FSEs.
  10. In order to keep up with new equipment and software features, the trainer may support service and installations at different customer sites from time to time.

Qualifications / Education / Skills and Experience:

  1. This position requires an associate degree or bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of experience on EVG equipment or up to 6-10 years of experience installing/repairing semiconductor/electronic production equipment.
  2. Comprehensive experience in the operation and maintenance of Semi-conductor Manufacturing machinery or comparable systems.
  3. Good knowledge of English, organizational skills, willingness to communicate, rhetorical and didactic skills and high social competence.
  4. Ideally, experience or education as a Trainer in a Technical environment.
  5. Qualification of Maintenance staff based on common EVG standard PM +CM procedures as well as issues experienced on-site.
  6. Trainer familiar with customer equipment and process.
  7. Trainer helps to implement a common understanding / working procedures throughout EVG HQ / EVG NA / Intel technicians.

Physical Demands:

  1. While performing duties of this job, individual is regularly required to stand, sit, reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity required. Individual is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls frequently and be able to reach with hand and arms above shoulder level occasionally.
  2. Ability to wear proper cleanroom attire and work inside the fab/cleanroom up to 75% of the time.
