Simulation Scientist (m/f/d)

You support our process and equipment development teams with numerical simulations in the fields of structural mechanics and thermodynamics. Your contribution will be used for enhancing the process and equipment R&D activities.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Contribution to manufacturing process development for high-precision and high-strength components in next-generation semiconductor production equipment
• Development and validation of dynamic process models for machine tools focused on advanced milling processes
• Definition and coordination of experimental validation and verification tasks including data acquisition and processing
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to integrate simulation insights into process development and optimization  

  Requirements: 

• A master degree or doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Physics or related fields
• Knowledge in production engineering, machining dynamics and material science
• Strong background in simulation and modelling (kinematic or FEM) of mechanical systems, preferably in machine tools
• Coding knowledge preferable in Python or MATLAB
• Interdisciplinary and analytical mindset, team spirit and passion for innovation
• Solid English and communication skills

Salary:

We prefer to discuss salary in person, but we can reveal this much: We naturally align with market-standard salaries - meaning that, depending on the position and education, an above-collective agreement salary is possible right from the start. For this position, we offer an annual gross salary of at least 53.200 EUR. Depending on qualifications and experience, we can also offer more!
