Japan Earthquake and Tsunami: EVG Employees Safe, Business Operations Continue Uninterrupted

On behalf of all of us at EV Group, we are devastated to hear about the catastrophic damage that was caused by the Tohoku Pacific earthquake and tsunami. At the same time, we are humbled to witness the remarkable strength and courage by the people in Japan and are committed to supporting the recovery and rebuilding efforts.

We are relieved to report that all of our employees and their immediate families are safe. We are also happy to report that our sales and service offices in Japan located in Yokohama and Fukuoka have not been impacted by the earthquake and tsunami. EVG Japan's buildings, offices, warehouses and cleanroom facility are fully functional, so our business operations continue uninterrupted.

EVG's suppliers located in Japan have also announced that their manufacturing plants have not been impacted and that they are running at normal capacity. EVG experienced some minor delays due to restrictions in transportation and backlogs in freight traffic. Currently, EVG is not expecting a major impact on its supply chain. Depending on future developments in Japan (e.g. restrictions in power supply), however, this situation may change. Communications between headquarters and our employees, partners, vendors and customers in Japan is ongoing. As such, we are able to closely monitor our operations and have the necessary processes and procedures in place to respond quickly to any changes in the situation.

EVG has implemented a radiation policy to make sure all equipment deliveries are not radioactively contaminated. A radiation inspection protocol can be provided with tool deliveries upon request.

In closing, we would like to reiterate that our main focus is ensuring the safety of our employees, while also being there to support our customers and suppliers throughout Japan. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who have been touched by this disaster.
